Rowley GTC built
by John Pontieri from a body kit manufactured and offered by Rowley Corvette
Supply, Inc. The foundation of the car is a 1978 Corvette. The car was
built from the frame up and was outfitted with a new engine from Chevy
with modern tuned port fuel injection. The fuel injection provides a level
of engine efficiency not present on older Corvettes. This 350 horse powered
Rowley GTC gets 24 miles per gallon. The lavish interior, enhanced with
Connolly leather, Pioneer CD player, deep moulded Italian styled bucket
seats and air conditioning provide
a comfort level which optimizes cross country cruising.
John teaches auto body at a vocational tech school
in New York. It would appear that his students receive a well rounded education
through his involvement in the construction of Rowley's GTC.
