| HISTORY:
Its owner, Paul Scalet, bought this mostly stock Corvette in 1975. He drove the car a few summers and decided to store it indoors and eventually do some restoration work on it. Bumpers, etc, were removed and old paint was chemically removed down to the bare fiberglass. The original color, Milano Maroon, was applied in a urethane finish. Brakes were stainless sleeved, master cylinder was rebuilt, carpeting was replaced and new exhaust was installed. Over the years, he has spent little time driving it and much time and money caring for it.
DESCRIPTION: This
65 Corvette represents what Corvette owning is all about, a fun-collector-investment-driver car. It has one of the most desirable engine combos in the Corvette line, 327/350, four speed trans, and posi rear end. Chevy called it "special high performance". For the Corvette lover it represents real horse power and mild manners. LOW MILEAGE: 89,629 original miles since new. The car is mostly stock with the exception of '67 leather seats, '67 rally wheels and incorrect air cleaner. Entire underbody is in A1 condition. Tires, parking lights, and back up lights are new. This Corvette looks real sharp in its Milano Maroon exterior and black interior.
OPTIONS: Engine is 327/350, 4 speed trans, 3:70 posi rear end, AM/FM radio, power antenna, and leather seats. RECENT APPRASIAL: Mr. Scalet's Corvette was appraised in 1998 by James Martin Appraiser/Consultant for $38000.00. The appraisal maybe viewed here |
